Over the years Tarifa became Europe's wind capital thanks to its long beaches of fine, golden sand where the fascinating Kitesurfing sport can be practised without danger, but of course always supervised by an expert. The youngest world champion, Gisela Pulido lives nowhere else than in Tarifa, one of the best places for kitesurfers.

Kitesurfing combines basically two kinds of sport: the driving of a stunt kite and the sliding over the water on a board. The size of the kite varies between 3 and 25 square metres and it hangs on 30 metre long cords. Steered by a handlebar the kite pulls the driver over the water. At first glance that may seem dangerous but kite designers, backed up by statistics, say that kiting is the safest form of flying. Modern security systems mean that the kites can be stopped easily and quickly.

Lenguaventura in cooperation with a kitesurf school offer teenagers lessons in the afternoons (except Wednesdays and at the weekends) depending on the weather and wind conditions. Pupils are equipped with a complete kitesurf kit and are supervised by a qualified kitesurf teacher.

The School residence in which our Kitesurfers are accommodated is situated in downtown Tarifa Participants from the Kitesurfing Camp as well as from the Multiactivity Camp will stay in this school residence in the centre of Tarifa.

The Campus is like a little island in the middle of the town. It will be the kids´ home and school during their stay in Tarifa.

In the month of July the Campus in Tarifa will be our home. The better we take care of this community the happier we will be together and the longer the new formed friendships will last.
